Frequently Asked Questions

Where are the amps made?
Our amps are 100% hand-built in the U.S.A. We use the finest quality components for longevity and the best tone. Our amps are availible only in North America at this time.

What kind of tubes do you use in the amps?
The pre-amp tubes are 9th generation Shuguang 12AX7A and when availible, the power tubes are SED "Winged C". We also use select Shuguang Power tubes from Ruby and Pental Labs as well. We can ship the amps with current production tubes of your choice depending on avalibility.

Do you do custom options?
Yes, we do! Contact us to discuss what options you would like and our pricing for those options.

Do you make copies of other amps?
No, we do not. There are many other companies providing that service. Our designs are our own and have their own unique voicing.

How can I purchase a Baron Custom Amp?
Right now Baron Custom Amps are available directly from the Designer and Builder, David Woodhouse. Contact by email is easiest. For first inquiry contact dave@baroncustomamps.com.

Pricing:
We try to keep pricing affordable to all musicians. We believe that high quality doesn't mean high cost.

Do you have artist discounts or endorsements?
Not at this time.

What are your payment options?
If the amp is not in stock, a 40% deposit is required before production begins. Deposits are non-refundable. Payment can be made through PayPal or by Postal money order. When the amp is complete or if you are ordering an in-stock model, payment before shipping is required. Payment must be made within 10 business days of notification of completion unless other arrangements have been made.

Is shipping included in your prices?
Unless otherwise specified, shipping is not included in the price of the amps. Shipping costs will be calculated at the time of your order. Usually between 50.00 and 70.00 USD.

How are the amps shipped?
Our amps are custom packed for safety and fully insured via UPS or FedEx.

We are not responsible for damage on return shipping for warranty repair or returns. When returning the amp, make sure the amp is packed extremely well and insured. Contact us prior to sending amps in for repair.

How long does it take for an amp to be built?
Generally it takes us 4 to 8 weeks depending on current orders already in production. We will advise you of the current wait time prior to you placing your order.
